Description:
Suya is a spicy, grilled skewered meat that is popular in West Africa, particularly in Nigeria. It is typically made with goat or beef, but can also be made with pork. Suya is marinated in peanut butter, spices, and onions, and then grilled over charcoal. Suya is typically served with peppers and onions.
Ingredients:
500g pork loin (cut into strips)
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup ground cayenne pepper
1/4 cup ground cloves
1/4 cup ground ginger
1/4 cup salt
1/4 cup ground onion
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup oil
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine the peanut butter, cayenne pepper, cloves, ginger, salt, onion, and oil.
Add the pork to the marinade and mix to coat all sides.
Marinate the pork in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Preheat the grill to medium heat.
Skewer the pork and grill for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve Suya with peppers and onions.
Tips:
You can use pork shoulder, pork belly, or ground pork instead of pork loin.
You can adjust the spices to your taste.
Add vegetables, such as bell peppers, zucchini, or tomatoes, to make the dish more colorful and flavorful.
Enjoy!
